Synopsis: Shawn is raped by an intruder in her own home and becomes pregnant. She gives birth to Hope, but quickly abandons him. A spinster finds Hope and raises him in dignity, while Shawn's life spins out of control. Seventeen years later, Hope's and Shawn's lives intersect in a moment that will define both of them.
