We are looking for exceptional storytellers and digital content creators. UMFF is a competitive film and digital media festival with awards and prizes for the best work.

All genres are eligible for competition in the 18th UMFF 2019 and include advertising and marketing campaigns, animations, commercials, trailers, documentaries, features, key art designs, mobile, music videos, scripts, shorts, stage plays, student projects (middle school, high school and college), television pilots/series and web series.

UMFF 2019 winners of each category will receive awards, as well as showcasing those projects on the Urban Mediamakers Content Creators Tour 2019.

UMFF gives 'Best Of' domestic and international awards to winning content creators. The short film category is divided in to subcategories that include the best: Shorty-Short, Comedy, Narrative, Socially-Conscious, AfroFuturism and Sci-Fi. The UMFF 2019 Founder's Choice award is given to a project chosen from all categories. Judged by a jury of industry professionals, UMFF 2019 winning selections will be announced at the awards presentation.

Young Urban Mediamakers (YUMs) Videopalooza 2016 - Middle and High School Students Video Competition

The Young Urban Mediamakers (YUMs) are aspiring creatives ages 11-19 with an interest in acting, animation, art, drawing, film, gaming, music, new media, print, television, video and web. Annually the YUMs presents Videopalooza, a short film competition for middle and high school students. Videopalooza lifts the voices of youth as they use visual communication to express how they feel about those things that are important to them. DEADLINE FOR YUM VIDEOPALOOZA SUBMISSIONS IS AUGUST 30, 2019.

UMFF Short Script-To-Screen Contest 2019 | Deadline August 30th
